ACT Government Temporary Road Closure – Sunday 4 January to Monday 2 February 2026

Due to temporary closures to Northbourne Avenue from Alinga Street, detours, traffic controls and signage will be in place, with access maintained to the hotel pick up and drop off area.

Hotel Drop-Off Access

Please note for the safety of pedestrians and motorists, the drop-off zone in front of Novotel Canberra will be utilised as follows:

• Southbound traffic on Northbourne Avenue will need to turn left on to Cooyong Street and follow the sign posted detours via Mort St and Bunda St to access the front of the hotel for check in/drop off on Northbourne Ave.
• Visitors traveling from Canberra Airport and Southern NSW will need to use Edinburgh Av, Marcus Clarke and Rudd St to access the front of the hotel for check in/drop off.

Parking Access:
Turn right onto Barry Drive and left onto Moore Street to enter the limited underground car park. Alternate car parking is located via Allsop St at the Secure City West multi story car park only a 5 minute walk to Novotel.
