Museum Highlights Tour – From 1pm : This guided tour provides an excellent introduction to the Museum, exploring highlights from our permanent exhibition galleries.
First Australians Tour – From 3pm : Take a guided tour with one of our hosts to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their history, culture and connection to country in our largest exhibition gallery.
Tim & Gina Fairfax Discovery Centre
Enjoy entry to the Tim and Gina Fairfax Discovery Centre, a fun, immersive play space for children of all abilities from birth to six years, their families and carers. Session start times are 9:15am, 10:45am, 12:15pm, 2pm and 3:30pm.
NATIONAL DINOSAUR MUSEUM
Family admission to explore the Museum for 2 adults and 2 children. The National Dinosaur Museum offers an interactive insight into the earth’s long and dynamic history. The museum houses life-like dinosaur models, full skeletons, skulls, and animatronic dinosaurs, as well as an interactive dinosaur garden.
Focusing on education and entertainment, the museum offers a wide variety of activities for families. The gift shop stocks Canberra’s largest collection of crystals, minerals and fossils, so you can take part of the experience home.

CANBERRA WALK IN AVIARY
Enjoy entry to the Canberra Walk-In Aviary for 2 adults and 2 children. The aviary is a 1000 square meter, planted, privately owned walk-in aviary where the friendly free flying birds can be observed, photographed and fed. Visitors to the aviary walk amongst approximately 500 birds representing over 60 different species (parrots, finches, doves and quail) from Australia and around the world.
On admission to the aviary, as part of your admission price, visitors are given a small plate of food and a small tub of meal-worms with which to feed the birds. Some (not all) will come and take the food from you and some birds may even land on you.
