Mount Stromlo Observatory is an astronomical observatory located in the Molonglo Valley, on the summit of Mount Stromlo, which is approximately 770 meters above sea level. The observatory was established in 1924 and has since been a significant center for astronomical research and education.

The observatory’s research focuses on the study of stars, galaxies, and other celestial objects. It is home to a number of telescopes, including the 74-inch telescope, the largest in Australia at the time it was built. In addition, the observatory also has a number of smaller telescopes that are used for a variety of research projects.
