Reconciliation Day in Canberra is a celebration of the ongoing journey towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.

On Monday 29 May 2023, the National Arboretum Canberra hosted the sixth annual reconciliation event in Canberra. The event is an important part of National Reconciliation Week, providing a time for Canberrans to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how we can work towards achieving reconciliation in Australia.

A range of activities were on offer, from panel discussions and art and crafts to storytelling, live entertainment, stalls, and exhibitions, the event promises a family-friendly and engaging program.

Gatherings will take place on the 27th May in 2024 with further details provided closer to the day.

Reconciliation Day in Canberra is a meaningful and inspiring event that brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate the richness and diversity of Indigenous culture and to promote the ongoing process of reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.

It is a day of reflection, celebration, and hope for a brighter future for all Australians.
